Georgia Mancio vocals, Tim Lapthorn piano, Julie Walkington bass and Dave Ohm drums.

Georgia Mancio’s music is an intriguing reflection of her Anglo-Latino background: predominantly a standards singer, she also specialises in South American and European music and is a lyricist. As a child she played classical flute, went on to train as an actor and film-maker before returning to her musical roots to study jazz and voice. Since turning professional in 2000, she has worked in various musical outfits with players including Bobby Wellins, Andrew Cleyndert, Alex Garnett, and Tim Lapthorn as well as leading her own band - Gareth Lockrane, John Pearce, Julie Walkington/Dave Green, Dave Ohm, Anselmo Netto and many others too numerous to mention here. She has performed throughout the country and across Europe to critical acclaim and won first prize at the First Brussels International Young Jazz Singers Competition in 2005.

Following the success of her debut album, Peaceful Place, Georgia released her critically acclaimed second album, Trapeze in 2008.

A natural, instinctive musician with a pure, honeyed tone, her deceptively simple delivery is always shot through with sincerity and gravitas. Her supremely elegant voice, rich and bittersweet has impressed peers, press and audiences alike making Georgia Mancio a rising talent on the British and European jazz scenes.

One of the jewels of the local music scene, the Spanish Harlow Orchestra returns to Marigolds for what promises to be another fantastic gig. SHO are a 9-piece Latin band bringing together top musicians from the region with national and international playing experience and reputations.

The band is run by Adam Amor (alto and tenor sax), who's played with Paquito D'Rivera and Jimmy Heath . It features the great Pete Lemer on piano (famous for touring with Ginger Baker in the Baker-Gurvitz Army), and has the amazing Steve Cook on bass: Steve plays with a lot of top pros in the area. Will Street on electric violin studied jazz violin at Berklee in the States, and teaches at Middlesex University. He has appeared with, among others, Michael Brecker and Shirley Horn! You can find out more about him on his website.
Add to that a drummer and percussionist, Andy on trombone, a Baritone sax, plus Laura the Puerto Rican vocalist and you've got some intense music to dance to!

This vibrant 9-piece band brings you an evening of classic and original latin and salsa. Whether you come to dance or listen you are bound to have a great night with the Spanish Harlow Orchestra.
